Working together, we are committed to providing comprehensive primary healthcare.

Primary care is the foundation of Ontario’s public health system, serving as the first and ongoing point of contact for individuals and families seeking care throughout their health journey.
At Dorval Medical Family Health Team, a dedicated group of family physicians and nurse practitioners work closely with registered nurses, a mental health counsellor, and a pharmacist. Together, we provide coordinated, compassionate, and comprehensive care, supporting the patient through strong collaboration and a shared commitment to timely, high-quality service.

A Family Health Team (FHT) is a model of primary care in Ontario that brings together family doctors, nurse practitioners, nurses, social workers, pharmacists and other health professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients. Rather than seeing just one provider, patients benefit from a whole team working together to support their physical, mental, and social health needs. Dorval Medical Family Health Team is fortunate to also have an on-site lab available to registered patients and an on-site pharmacy.
FHTs focus on keeping people healthy, managing chronic diseases, and making sure patients have access to the right care at the right time — all in one place.
We are proud members of the Association of Family Health Teams of Ontario (AFHTO) (insert live link to AFHTO website), a province-wide organization that represents and supports FHTs across Ontario. AFHTO advocates for strong, community-based primary care and helps teams like ours share best practices, improve care quality, and better serve our patients.
